- Dress UpThis is an experimental film addressing techniques of presentation in the deep digital age. I used five camera angles to invoke a sense of exposure from all directions. I am very influenced by the nature of the surveillance state and the relevance of social media on our daily lives. On one level, this video employs the techniques of social media to convey an overwhelming vision of beauty. On another, it disrupts trends of showing one's self in the online context by being ugly, weird, unexpected.
- AscensionThis is a music video that I made last year as part of my Intro to Video Art Course. To achieve the visuals, I used a green screen to overlay my original content over found footage. I did my own makeup and styled my outfit. The video has to do with altered states of consciousness induced by fashion, drag, and music. The song is called "Ascension" by Alaska and Jeremy.
