About me
I am dedicated to international development work which was ignited while volunteering with children and vulnerable families in the UK, Fiji and Tonga. Nick went on to work in Serbia, Serbian Republic and Bosnia with various NGOs training locals how to work with emergency relief and community development programmes. I quickly developed strong leadership skills while working in Tajikistan alongside international and local NGOs and later with various UN organisations including UNICEF. After four years of frontline outreach work and ever-increasing responsibility, I took on Deputy Director and CEO roles in the region for more than ten years before moving back to the UK in 2009. Since then he has explored his passion for working with young people, providing training, and building high performance teams to deliver complex projects. I am looking for a senior management role where I can use my broad and practical experience to deliver change and impact at a greater scale. I have also studied his BSc degree by correspondence with the Open University in International Development and The Social Sciences while out on the field working, this together with my vast experience has given me an in-depth understanding and passion for international development. I am also the Governance Trustee for Sparkle Malawi Foundation.
