About me
Nick is Co-founder & CEO of Luca, a brain health startup that empowers athletes to be at their best and healthiest by leveraging mental health data and insights, as well as subclinical concussion screening. The idea behind Luca came from Nick's experience of playing professional rugby. It was evident to him that athletes' drive to succeed is often at odds with their long-term health. Teams and governing bodies aren't doing enough, which is why Luca was established.
Nick first developed the idea on his MBA at Oxford University and then took the first steps to commercialise it in 2022 by raising investment from Antler. It has since raised from angels, including a number of professional athletes.
Luca is currently in the middle of a funding round.
