About me

I developed an artistic specialism within surface and interior design. I was trained as a ceramist in the Netherlands, and I use my knowledge on this craft to create ceramic tiles that function as an applied art within interiors. In these tile-works, and in works that include other materials, I often depart from the idea that decorative style-elements represent subliminal gateways to different worlds with which we connect and can find answers in.

• Amsterdam Interior installationWithin a abandoned social housing home in Amsterdam I exhibited the installation of an artwork I made in collaboration with Mariska Koolen (2017). The installation refers to an imaginary style of this temporary interior.
