Graphic Design is something I am extremely passionate about. I have completed a graphic design course that included an in-depth study of graphic design history, design theory, colour theory, illustration, typography, logo development, graphic illustration, layout design and package design. By doing this course, I gained software proficiency by completing projects in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. For the last year, I have been working for the Gibraltar Health Authority (GHA) on a freelance basis. I was given the responsibility of creating the health promotional material (such as leaflets and brochures) that the GHA could use and supply locally. To do this, I was given existing NHS leaflets that I had to illustrate and redesign. This gave me the opportunity to apply and make use of my academic knowledge and skills that I have learned. I am very much dedicated to gaining practical experience to complement my academics. I have also spent the last few months volunteering with some charities to try to accomplish this. I am a highly motivated and ambitious individual who is able to work well in a collaborative team environment, but also capable of working independently. I consider myself to be a confident person who has excellent organizational skills and is capable of working under pressure in order to prioritise a substantial workload and meet strict deadlines.
