In 2014, Nina started working as a freelance photographer. As opportunities grew, this became a fully-fledged business and Nina has since managed the production of her shoots and those of others she has worked with. This has included scouting for locations, creating mood boards, model casting, production of call sheets and contacting assistants. In addition to this, she has had to manage the business by responding to clients emails, generating estimated quotes for each client, preparing budgets, and staying up to date with invoicing. This is all alongside her Photography and Retouching work.

At CSULB, Nina studied under professors, Todd Gray, Rebecca Sittler Schrockr, Mark Ruwedel, and Kyle Riedel. Here she learned how to formulate her thoughts into concrete ideas and develop a body of work. Her work communicates themes of domestic abuse and solitude to create a space for its viewers to challenge their own thoughts and beliefs on what is and is not acceptable in society. Nina became knowledgable of both digital and film photography, studio lighting, developing and processing film, epsom digital printing, scanning and producing high quality film photos.
