Hello! My Name is Noor and I am a multidisciplinary designer who loves a challenge and the chance to come up with ideas that change the outcome
of a project. Over the years I have been involved in every stage of the design and production process, including the project management side of things, and have no problem in getting stuck in.
My passion is print based design with a side of illustration, stemming from my time at university; where I created tangible designs such as booklets,
paper sculptures, and posters to support my projects, as well as my time at AllCity, where we produce Key Art posters for international and UK theatrical releases, and accompanying assets such as premiere tickets and press ads. I enjoy the process of creating visuals from rough idea to fully thought out and artworked print ready files, and find satisfaction in the finer details that make printed mediums so exact.
My time at AllCity has also given me an increasing appreciation for digital based design, having worked on motion graphics, online advertisements, and videos for theatrical and television releases. Throughout my career I have constantly proved my ability to adapt and succeed – trying to learn as much as I can about new programs and skills that encompass all facets of design, and using my knowledge of a wide range of mediums and techniques to create interesting and engaging outputs.
Projects
- AliensEarly in 2011, I was asked to illustrate 40 pairs of aliens for a research project by Dr Andrew Nevins, Dr Katrin Skoruppa and their team at UCL. I was required to use a unique colourway for each pair, never repeating the same shade. These illustrations would be used to help investigate the ways in which children view and identify colours.
- AMAL JewelleryEarly in 2015, I was brought in to help kick start AMAL’s social media awareness and brand recognition. Working closely with the founder, I created the branding, website, and art directed the photography for our collections; The Three Queens, and The Stackables. We are currently working hard to build a following and we hope to bring the brand to an international stage.
- O2 - WE'RE BETTER CONNECTEDOne pen. One paper. Two people. Holding one pen and closing our eyes, my friend and I drew the faces of people we knew or had seen on the streets. The objective was to show that you can create something beautiful by being connected, whether it's a conversation on the phone, or a drawing. Altogether we drew 700 illustrations, from which we created an advert, posters and a booklet, to help promote O2 and the 'We're Better Connected' branding. YCN 2009 Competition Entry

- Oh Geno!Oh Geno was a short film based on the life of Geno Washington, a soul singer famous from the 1960s. It centred around his story of one fateful night that led him to the love of his life and the career of his dreams. I was approached along with my collaborator and dear friend Noor Ali to produce some posters and title screens for the premier of the film.

INTERN: Nov 2015 – May 2016
STUDIO ASSISTANT: May 2016 – Feb 2017
PRODUCTION AND DESIGN: Feb 2017 - Present
Starting as an intern and working my way up to being part of the core design team at AllCity, I gained a broad understanding of marketing for theatrical film campaigns from every aspect of the design and production process, I attained experience working as part of a team, learning how to utilise and adapt my design skills, becoming comfortable working on briefs and ensuring deadlines were met. I was trusted to participate in initial client meetings and pitch work with our creative director, and took pride in contributing to brainstorms for poster and wider campaign concepts before the studio was briefed in. Within my role as a designer, I had the chance to
create photoshoot documents and art direct on photoshoots, create design concepts, originate theatrical posters, and deliver artwork and files ready print.
As well as print design, I became a key part of their motion graphics team, and was bought in to advise and work on any projects that needed social media content. I adapted static posters into motion posters for outdoor advertising and created online digital banners and take overs for sites such as IMDB and The Guardian, I worked closely with the creative director to set the title, and end credit sequences for films, as well as delivering weekly motion assets to a director for a TV show.
I also took part in project management, having been placed in charge of running the Warner Bros. account, liaising with the Head Of Events to take on briefs and feedback for their premiere releases. I acted as a conduit between the client and the studio, whilst also designing motion
evites and interesting tickets for a wide variety of titles and screenings.
