I am a visual artist originally from Portugal but recently relocated to Muttenz (Switzerland) to be with my girlfriend. My main field of work besides corporate design is music illustration and movie posters, which I am really excited about and has been my main focus these last few years.
My love for movies, which comes from a very early age, has resulted in creating a Facebook page where I make short reviews for films, a podcast aimed at film lovers alike and, of course, turning my focus as a visual artist to the creation of posters and key art. I do a lot of fan art for both the love of film and as a studying method. It allows me to explore different styles and techniques in a constant learning process so that when the opportunity presents itself I feel confident in delivering the best result in optimal time frames.
Working with international and varied clientele has taught me to be flexible, to adapt to different design styles and to deliver quality work on short deadlines. It also made me embrace criticism as a means to further improve my skills. I am an open minded, convivial and reliable person, who enjoys meeting new people and discussing movies, music and everyday life.
I originally studied civil engineering and worked as a CAD technician for ten years due to reasoning. Nevertheless, I never gave up illustrating, and at some point reasoning was not enough to keep my passion for art at bay anymore. So despite all the odds, I changed my field of work. I am a self-taught graphic designer, but I do believe this shows my eagerness to learn as also how dedicated to graphic design I truly am. Creativity has always conducted my life.
I am improving my German skills (currently A1.2 Level) and speak fluently Portuguese, French, English and Spanish.
