This position involves a lot of production aspects, knowing how to use professional sound equipment, directing the band during performances, selecting band set-list, communicating with each musician during the set. Furthermore, there is a lot of organisation that takes place throughout the week such as: organising rehearsals, listening to the new songs, learning new skills, being able to play along the multitrack, making sure that each musician comes prepared to rehearsals and knowing different instruments to help each musician play to the best of their ability.
