Fashion PoetrySaint Petersburg, Russia
About me
I am is an amateur poet based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I write in a genre that I call Fashion Poetry as most of my poems are dedicated to various fashion topics. I try to make my stories light and humorous, but sometimes can’t restrain myself from going into abstract philosophy or psychological observations... The world in the poems turns out to be somewhat magical and surreal to the characters who try to solve their ordinary problems, and they come to understanding, and so do the readers that, to their surprise, dwarfs and ogres are full and active members of Fashion Poetry… I make all the illustrations for my verses and create book layout design by myself. I am open to any kind of creative cooperation.
Projects
  • Lilac
LilacIn these poems, I tried to personify Lilac color. Lilac is very soft and gentle, even vulnerable. It can be childish and infantile thanks to pink undertones. So it can be also curious, brave, adventurous as a kid. Enjoying the moment is very much Lilac style and also carelessness about what people say. The color symbolizes a willingness to stay out and to go against the crowd and peacefulness and appreciation of other people's uniqueness at the same time.
  • Some Thoughts On The Usefulness and Practicality of Gabardine
Some Thoughts On The Usefulness and Practicality of GabardineFashion Poetry. Cinderella kind of story with a fashion twist. Illustrated by myself.
  • Lavender's Melancholy (A small poem in 2 parts)
Lavender's Melancholy (A small poem in 2 parts)This little poem is dedicated to Lavender fashion color, which is very beautiful and is psychologically associated with Femininity, Grace, Purity, Devotion and Love. It evokes the feeling of Nostalgia or Romance as its symbolizm includes Wonder and the aura of Impossibility. The girl in the poem is the fashion color itself, Lavender, having introspective insights on her own nature.
