About me
I have worked in a range of business settings and have been the first point of contact, where I demonstrated my professional, organisational and communication skills for which I have had positive feedback. I also have excellent written communication skills which I have developed through copywriting press releases for music and fashion industries and co-writing a blog which has attracted industry interest and followers on social media.
Passion for music / knowledge
I have previously worked within the music industry for five years, as a press and administration assistant for MCA
Records, a music public relations company called Name PR and also a student engineer, producer and D.J.
In each company I worked on high profiled accounts primarily; the group Nirvana, Hole, Maria McKee and also for;
Cooking Vinyl and Heaven 17’s re-launch of Penthouse and Pavement album and tour. At MCA Records I also worked
in the back catalogue and compilations department where I updated their manual filling systems of existing artists and
confirmed usage of artists’ music in the NOW Music annual releases and other types of specific genre music releases for rock and summer compilations.
Whilst working as a music P.R I was also involved in music management where I managed two bands; Rev78 and
Falling Majesties. I created press packs for each group to be able to promote them towards being booked for specific
London music nights at music venues and to be played on local radio stations and this was very successful.
