I have a first-class degree in Film Studies. This was mostly a theoretical course focusing on writing and critical skills, but with enough filmmaking to give me a good grounding of the creative process. I wrote my dissertation on fantasy and female adolescence in European cinema 1970-1975 and won my university’s Film Studies Final Year Prize, as well as the Principal’s Prize, which gives credit to the quality of my writing, research skills, and aptitude at communicating my knowledge to others.
