As Head Retoucher I work for some of the biggest names in fashion and e-commerce; Turnball & Asser, Mint Velvet, Anglepoise, Fortnum & Mason and Conde Nast. I am responsible for ensuring quality control of all images that leave the studio. Creativity and attention to detail are essential in my role.
As well as managing my own workload, I also manage the Freelance Retouchers that regularly come into the studio when the work load is high. I am responsible for setting their weekly and daily deadlines and training them to deliver high quality images. I also work with the photographer to make sure all images which are needed for retouching are present and help come up with new ideas for creative shoots. Conversing with production I help set up new clients with their own domains on the company FTP server and make sure everything is kept labelled correctly and in the correct place.
When required I have also assisted our Head Photographer on shoots to ensure we’ve secured all the photos the client requests.
