Gumball 3000 is a British lifestyle brand, famous for its annual 3000 mile road rally.
Achievements and responsibilities:
• Successful delivery of the 2018 rally from London to Tokyo, comprising of 35 events in 12 cities across 7 days
• Reporting directly to the Head of Operations and Founder & CEO
• Responsible for a £3million production budget
• Liaising with government and city officials to obtain event permits, i.e Westminster City Council for the use of Covent Garden
• Liaising with police departments on event permits, site security and police escorts
• Contracting of 5 star hotel rooms and event spaces including Mondrian London, Four Seasons Kyoto and Conrad Tokyo
• Negotiating high value contracts with production suppliers, venues and partners
• Managed the private charter of three cargo planes and customs clearance procedure for 100 supercars to enter Japan on a temporary basis
• Production management of audio, video, lighting, staging, security and branding
• Logistics for a touring party of 70 staff, freelancers and volunteer crew who must always stay one rally stage ahead
• Submission of event management plans, site plans and risk assessments
• Head up route planning, site surveys, crew briefings and pre-production meetings
• Hiring of new production coordinators
• Implementation of new project management and communication workflows
• Liaising with media teams to ensure all required content is captured
• Planning of the 2019 rally from Mykonos to Ibiza
