About me
From Installation Artist to professional CAD Draughtsman, I have been lucky enough to work in a diverse range of fields. I recently applied my distinctive blend of conceptual and technical skills to help launch and develop the now successful furniture brand Joined + Jointed; exhibiting this year at Salone Del Mobile. A holistic designer with an appreciation of what is involved in taking a product from concept to creation, I am now looking to build on this success and contribute towards an exciting new project in a dynamic team.
I strive to consider all work holistically and simply. Understanding context and delivering simple, meaningful work with delightful details. A lightweight design, a lightweight environmental impact and a lightweight journey.
Work history
Junior Designer
-
After joining the company as an intern, I was soon offered a full-time role managing the J+J website and developing projects. Working in a small team required taking on a number of different roles and enabled me to refine skills in technical drawing, coding and project management. I built an inventory system for the company, developed new web pages, new retail pieces and coordinated a large hotel refurbishment contract.
More than anything, however, my time at Channels taught me how to design holistically and enduringly - to consider details, proportion and investment at every scale in order to produce the very best work.
Intern Designer & Client Manager
-
A fast-paced working environment with plenty of hands-on work. I helped with a number of projects, including producing CAD drawings for architectural and domestic products and developing the website.

A conceptual course weighted equally between studio practice and history of art. Here I studied sculpture with a particular focus on site-specific installations.
Awards
Passey Prize for 'Best in Show'
I was awarded the Passey Art Prize for 'Best in Show' for a collaborative piece between myself and a fellow student. Our practices were very complimentary - both concerned with material memory - mine the past and my friend's the future.
