A recent MMus Ethnomusicology graduate from SOAS, University of London, Oliver has professional experience in administration, commercial office work, publicity and music education.
Oliver is currently interested in a career in music administration and facilitation, particularly within education, marketing, communications, copywriting and development contexts. To complete his postgraduate study, Oliver has recently completed a 10,000 word dissertation entitled "The Afrobeat Continuum", exploring issues in influences and representations of Fela Kuti beyond his death, which required extensive new research on contemporary afrobeat.
Keen to succeed musically alongside a lucrative career, Oliver is also interested in working in charity and non-for-profit sectors, as well as working in communcations, marketing and research positions, where he can creatively implement his musical and media outputs into professional work.
