Gibson's Entertainment Relations team is responsible for all below-the-line brand building activities. This includes artist relations, content creation, strategic marketing partnerships, activations, lifestyle PR and product placement. As a member of a three-person team it has allowed for direct management of a multitude of various projects.
• Project managed internal and external brand marketing activations and events including: Q Awards Sponsorship, Mark Knopfler signature guitar launch, internal global marketing summits, Eurosonic Festival, Bloodstock Festival, James Bay signature guitar launch.
• Devised and directed video content projects across the Gibson musical instrument brand portfolio with the aim of successfully communicating the Gibson brand ethos, heritage and connection to world-leading artists. Examples available.
• Developed mutually beneficial and long-lasting relationships with over 100 high-profile musicians including: The 1975, Liam Gallagher, James Bay, Bring Me The Horizon, The Amazons, Tom Walker, Yonaka.
• Developed commercially viable brand partnerships and licensing opportunities with well-established brands. Most notably: Krug Champagne, Sofology (national advertising campaign featuring A-list actor Owen Wilson), Pretty Green, The Great Frog, YouTube, Teenage Cancer Trust.
• Managed global social media campaigns, from ideation to delivery across Gibson’s corporate social media accounts. Most notably campaigns at the NAMM Show (LA and Nashville) and the launch of a Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) signature product that saw 1.2m views coordinated globally across Gibson and Knopfler’s social accounts.
• Day-to-day management of all administrative duties for the Gibson Showroom in Central London. Including: venue management, inventory management, invoicing, reporting, audio/visual, H&S, venue licensing, managing external service providers.
