DIGITAL VIDEO EXPERIENCE
During the second year of my degree we had to specialise in a particular field of media production which ranged from photography and videography to areas such as illustration and creative writing. I was particularly drawn to the module entitled “Digital Video for the Web”. This was a brand new module which paid attention to video directed towards online audiences and the fast changing ways in which users view and interact with video content.
Developing and pitching a concept for a video directed towards an online audience
Creating storyboards, shot lists and doing a variety of preproduction tasks e.g. risk assessments, call sheets, production schedules etc.
Working in a studio with industry standard equipment
Sourcing actors, locations and musicians and negotiating with them with a small budget
Editing footage on iMovie & Adobe Premier Pro. Editing Audio on Adobe Audition
Using YouTube annotations to create an interactive video.
Submitting to film festivals.
