I have over twenty years experience in digital motion graphics industry making TV titles, animations and media graphics in 2d and 3d for TV, commercials, web and corporate video. I have constantly been using my strong illustration and artistic skills for design and animation across a range of genres and styles of production work.
Having worked within the motion graphic design industry in London for so many years I have much to offer an employee. My skills cover artistic design through to both 2d and 3d animation and compositing.
in depth knowledge of Aftereffects 2d animation / motion graphics - typography - infographics - 2d characters, explainers, working with live action, effects, editing, commercials.
in depth 3d generalist - modelling, lighting, animation, texturing, rendering using Autodesk Maya, Mental Ray, Mudbox, Blender.
I have also directed shoots for visual effects promos.
I have designed and conceived projects for pitches with varied storyboarding techniques.
I have built up and led teams in house and remotely.
Experience of teaching and mentoring graduates within my former company from positions as juniors/runners up to professional animators and designers.
technical experience running studio animation environment - multiple workstations PC, Mac, Unix - servers, large data high speed networking, admin systems, render farms etc.
post production knowledge - editing FCP, Avid, Premiere. Grading, file formats and versioning.
Compositing - very good knowledge of Nuke and Aftereffects for combining live action, 3d, 2d, 2.5d and vfx
