Orin ‘oriyo’ Norbert is a Singer-Songwriter, Producer, DJ and Member of OMG Collective.
Starting out in 2001 as a dancer, choreographer and director, Orin went on to pursue a career in music in 2010. Over the last seven years, he has performed across the UK and Europe, worked with developing young emerging artists and co-directed and produced multimedia projects in dance, art and film.
As a producer and performer he:
- Was co-choreographer and musical director for ‘I AM’ (Breakin’ Convention - 2008)
- Played the lead role of ‘Juice’ in the Royal Opera House’s production Demon Juice
- Performed with legendary group Boney M (Tribute tour - Prague 2009)
- Created Soul-Hop Sundays; a weekly giveaway music series actively viewed in over 49 countries
- Headlined at venues the likes of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Century Club, Soho House and Shoreditch House
In 2014, Orin founded OMG Collective; a six-piece British R&B band, whose musical style is a fusion of rhythm and blues, funk, soul, hip-hop, jazz and house.
He also forms one half of songwriting/production duo MONOCHROME - alongside friend and fellow bandmate, Josh Davies.
As a DJ, “oriyo” has gone on to become a versatile, open format DJ specialising in an array of genres such as house, hip-hop, r&b and disco; spinning records for club, events and radio.

OMG Collective are a six-piece British R&B band from the United Kingdom.
Their music is an exciting fusion of rhythm and blues, funk, soul, reggae, hip-hop, house and jazz; reflective of their varied influences.
Known for their improvised performances - live and in the studio - the group’s impetus is to make relatable, feel good music with a unified narrative; merging their cultural diversities to provide a unique and often, tongue-in-cheek perspective - resulting in their distinctive sound.
In the three years since they formed, OMG have gone on to perform at various venues across the country - the likes of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Century Club, Eltham Palace, Shoreditch House, Proud Camden and many others.
In 2017, their debut EP "Inhibitions" received support and recognition from BBC Introducing and was performed live at Sofar Sounds London.
