The Idea is a project jointly conceived and run with a partner. The concept involves the creation of an online platform where people can discover new artists. This is achieved through the curation of music compilations curated by us and chosen guests. Events are hosted every few months in which producers and DJ’s we have discovered can showcase their material. Additionally, they run residencies and club nights at world-renowned venues such as Ministry of Sound and Ibiza’s Amnesia and have been doing so successfully for over a decade. Responsibilities & Achievements: • Managing press releases and marketing campaigns and ensuring these run efficiently to maximize reach and stimulate sales. • Organizing and personally undertaking live interviews with artists playing at our events for promotional purposes, transcribing and posting these on the online blog. • Assisting the booking manager – Itineraries, invoices and logistics for the artists.
Day & Night Productions is an event company that specializes in organizing and hosting dance music parties all across London. The events are diverse and cover many different levels of event planning and coordinating. Responsibilities & Achievements: • Running marketing campaigns for every event, acquiring a range of marketing skills, especially with regard to the use of social media, running competitions and using different strategies to increase the events online reach. • Advising on bookings and actively seeking new acts that will enhance the events.
9PR is one of the UK’s leading and longest running music PR agencies, running campaigns for a large number of niche indie bands. 9PR specializes in national print, national radio and online PR. Responsibilities & Achievements: • Assisting in all sectors and ensuring PR campaigns run efficiently. • Created press releases and mailed these out to different media platforms. • Carrying out extensive online research about global online music platforms.
Audencis has a large platform of unlicensed music which it licenses directly and sells on in playlists to retailers looking for cost-effective business audio. Identifying the extensive amount of unsigned talent there is. Responsibilities & Achievements: • Working in a small office environment and managed crucial tasks without supervision. • Forming and managing playlists for different retailers to meet their different demands. Cross-section of diverse retailers from gyms to restaurants. • Organized the music database (Excel) to enable easy access to which songs were in each playlist. This was achieved inside the project time frame.
Good Life is an event company which since its inauguration in 2011 has become the most popular student night life provider in Leeds expanding throughout the UK with more than 30 sell out events. The Facebook page has also reached more than 30,000 likes. Responsibilities & Achievements: • Managing the co-ordination between booking agents to ensure the events run smoothly and successfully. • Chaperoning artists at various events. • Setting up teams in various cities around the UK to promote and market the brand efficiently when expanding.
