I am a hard working, dynamic and creative Music and Inclusive Performance Graduate with several years’ experience in developing, supporting and leading workshops and classes in the music and performing arts sector. I live by an Inclusive ethos, and have an excellent work ethic. I am extremely organized, and have excellent communication skills, which have greatly benefitted my employers. I am eager to learn and develop new skills that will aid my personal and professional development, as well as contribute to the success of any team I am a part of.
“London Friend is the UK’s oldest Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans charity. We’re here to support the health and mental well-being of the LGB&T community in and around London.” • I am a volunteer at London Friend equality charity working within support services. I run and support other volunteers in a fortnightly session, Changes. Supporting women around issues such as same-sex relationships, sexual and gender identity and promoting personal growth and self-confidence.
• Working part time as a freelance music director, singing teacher and a singer songwriter. • Taught choirs, singing groups and individual private clients. • Worked as a music director contributing to performances at Chickenshed Theatre Company and The Brit School. • As a singer songwriter I am regularly working with different producers and musicians.
Part-time / Full time (September 2016 – present) • In summer 2010 I did some work experience at DLL Accountancy, which they kindly invited me back to work there part time during my study breaks and busy periods within the firm. • My role has always been very flexible and has developed from a receptionist to an administrator. • My responsibilities and duties included; responsible of all administrative activities and meeting deadlines and targets, supporting office staff with various admin duties, assisting the accountant, first point of contact, meeting and greeting clients, managing general enquiries – telephone, email and in person, managing on-line data bases, updating the diary, updating client information, taking bookings, booking travel arrangements, ordering supplies of stationary and equipment, taking deliveries, photocopying, archiving, making refreshments and maintaining the presentation of all the offices and reception area.
Temporary contract • Teaching singing skills for actors and dancers at Key Stage 5. • Taught the students as a whole class, in small groups and individually in a workshop-based style, which allowed me to adapt to their abilities. • Exploring vocal techniques, vocal health and performance skills. • I was responsible for over seeing their development as students, singers and making sure they were hitting their weekly targets. • I was in charge of writing and creating the unit of work for the term, assignment briefs, grading criteria and constructive feedback on their assessments.
• It was my dream to travel the world before settling into a full time career. • Travelling has been a huge eye opener for me, and has increased my confidence and drive.
Full Time • As a learning support assistant I supported children with different special education needs. • The role enabled and enhanced my skills to create and adapt the National Curriculum to a child’s specification. • I created a behavioural support plan that was tailored for one child’s needs. • I worked in a challenging environment, but using my organisational skills effectively it helped me to conquer the planning of their time and mine efficiently. • The role enabled me to think on my feet, manage my time, and deal with complex situations on a day-to-day basis.
Full Time • Working in Harrods was a very exciting experience. I loved working within a team of people to create an elite customer experience. • A big part of my role was to be in the know about our top products, to be a driving force to sell them in the pantry food department at Christmas. Understanding the products and statistics of how many we needed to be sold to gain profit, was key to succeeding and hitting the top targets of sales. Sales were a really exciting department to work in, I really enjoyed my time working within sales and working towards targets. • Working in customer service I thrived off helping people, and knowing that someone appreciated my help. • My main duties of a sales associate included; serving customers, working in the sales team of Christmas products, handling money at the checkout, merchandising and replenishing stock.
Part time “Fair Play Barnet is an inclusive play organization working to support children and young people, to experience activity that positively impacts on their emotional and physical health.” • As a playworker I was partnered with a disabled child/young person on a one-to-one basis or small groups. Which we were placed in local clubs that caters for children of all abilities. • Within my role I would be liaising with parents, senior members of staff and help the running and organising of play schemes. • My role enhanced my can do attitude, my communication skills, my inclusive ethos and my approach to problem solving.
