Having worked part time at Tesco throughout higher education, as both a checkout assistant and customer service assistant, I have developed several key skills. Working in a customer driven environment has enabled me to thoroughly develop my communication skills, whilst also enhancing my teamwork skills, due to being a member of a very large team. In addition, as customer service assistant I worked alone the majority of the time and developed skills such as time management and prioritisation in order to handle customer queries in the most effective manner.
On a two-week work placement at iPulse I developed a variety of skills. The most vital skill I developed through my two-week placement was my knowledge of publication design and layouts, whilst also improving improving my use of InDesign. As an intern I undertook a variety of research projects for members of staff as well as attending a variety of meetings with clients whilst their project was on going.
