Currently I am handling all social media aspects for both Boy London and Long Clothing, as well being in charge of PR. This involves writing up press releases, contacting journalists and bloggers for write ups, editing photographs, regularly updating social media accounts, occasionally helping with event management, providing feedback on designs and generally assisting both in the office and at photo shoots.
Booked music acts for ASOS House Party, elevated social network presence by 23% in first ten days, created press releases and campaign reports, made updates to the blog, maintained databases and organised guest lists for events. In addition, I carried out some e-mail marketing, answered phone calls, assisted with photo shoots and helped at after-work events.
Attained 200,000+ page views so far this year, gained a social media following of over 5000 people, interviewed major label artists, developing strategies, building & maintaining relationships with bloggers, overseeing articles from contributing writers, carrying out PR for music artists/clothing brands and writing blogs.
Scouted for potential bloggers to build relationships with, pitched creative content, monitored press coverage, collected results and created monthly reports, assistant for visual concepts, took in music submissions, managed all social media and contributed with blogs.
Collaborated with businesses on projects, optimised online content, assisted with blogging, answered phone calls and filmed video content.
Acted as A&R for music artists, scouted for new talent to add to existing roster, created and established Tumblr and Reverb Nation accounts, reported to management and used various apps to effectively market music.
Having worked at Boots for seven years, I started as a Customer Advisor and then progressed in to a Team Leader, but now I currently hold the Supervisor position. My responsibilities include training new employees, making product orders, taking in deliveries, delegating tasks to employees and oversee general store activity.
