About me
I am a Graphic Communication graduate from Norwich University of the Arts, with a passion for poster design, event identity and illustrative executions. I strongly believe our generation can create exceptionally appealing designs, whilst embedding the message.
Projects
  • DHRAMA IDENTITY - 2020
DHRAMA IDENTITY - 2020A personal project that allowed me to focus on Design within the music industry. I made an album cover with a minimal record design and chose to scale the project further by adding the idea of a tour. This decision made it easier to incorporate other design applications as advertising for the tour. I added a poster, tickets and a tote bag that you could get at the concert.
  • HOPE WORKSHOP - 2020
HOPE WORKSHOP - 2020On 09/04/2020, I was fortunate enough to get a ticket for a design workshop that was hosted by Working Not Working with special guests, The Yarza Twins. This workshop consisted of creatives being tasked to create a poster that spoke positively of what is to come, as opposed to how to prevent further damage to our daily lives during this pandemic. This has opened up a more appreciative dialogue that has aided myself, and I am sure many others through this period of uncertainty. Not only was I ta
  • 36 DAYS OF TYPE - 2020
36 DAYS OF TYPE - 2020This project involves the creative community on Instagram. It looks at how each profile experiments with a letter/number a day from A - Z and 0 - 9. This has been a recurring project once a year and allows for more opportunities to push the envelope. I used 36DoT as another form of entertainment and fun away from my Typoster series, exploring slick line lettering, abstract outcomes and further developing my gradient backgrounds.
  • ZETAFONTS' QUARANTYPE - 2020
ZETAFONTS' QUARANTYPE - 2020Isolated at home during the Covid-19 outburst of March 2020, the Zetafonts team found some solace by designing letters for the #36DaysofType challenge. To spread some good karma, they decided to add a free font twist, selecting the best glyphs drawn to develop a collection of ten free typefaces to download directly from their site. I used these typefaces throughout my 365 Typoster Series as a way for other designers to stay creative and know that there are others out there ready to aid in this
  • 365 TYPOSTER SERIES - 2019/20
365 TYPOSTER SERIES - 2019/20A community brief on Instagram that pushes individuals to grow their Design approach through typographic poster outcomes. One poster every day for 365 days. These posters are made up on typefaces from online sources that are free, paid and under development.
  • BEAUTY IN THE BEAST - 2019
BEAUTY IN THE BEAST - 2019With such a curious title, the brief allowed for a lot of exploration. I had to propose a topic and theme of an exhibition that explores the good in the bad. Design outcomes were to produce all necessary branding and promotion for the said exhibition. My choice was LSD and its involvement in psychotherapy.

    InternshipJohnson Banks
     - London, United KingdomInternship
I had a week-long internship at JB working through varying sectors of the design projects. I was responsible for research, identity work, map designs among some of the jobs on the list. From this experience, I gained knowledge and understanding of what it is to be a designer amongst a team of professionals and resembled my time there as visiting a family more so than a design studio. I want to say a big thank you to the team for allowing me to be involved in all areas of the studio and for making me feel like another member, rather than an intern for a week. As someone who does struggle with a casual conversation here and there, this opportunity has pushed me to not always have my thinking hat on and to get to know the people behind the designs. Not only this, Johnson Banks showed me that there are good people, creating great design, for a better planet and it has pushed me to do the same where I can. It is crucial that we drive this direction of design forward to ensure everyone is doing their part for our planet and continuing the conversation. Now, I can look back at this and say how fortunate I am to have been involved with such a charismatic group of people and how grateful I am to have had this memorable experience.

I was accepted into NUA with a 4-year progression. Slowly, I built up my skills through Year 0 (Foundation), getting a better understanding of what Graphic Design entailed. Shortly after, I moved into Graphic Design, then for my final 2 years of the study, I chose to be involved with Graphic Communication from the 3 options we were given (Design for Publishing, Graphic Design, Graphic Communication). I walk away from this with a degree in Graphic Communication and a more knowledgable individual, as well as Designer.

Storehouse Cover (Issue 18)NUA Student's Union
The 10th anniversary of Storehouse magazine is fast-approaching! Showcasing talent, gaining industry recognition, sharing creativity within our theme of ‘Contrast’. To push the boundaries of Storehouse we present you with two submission opportunities – Light and Dark. This means that your work can fall into either category to create a contrasting magazine full of varying talent. ‘Light’ can be taken literally or obscurely. Can you shed light on an important topic? ‘Dark’ can be taken literally or obscurely. How you interpret this brief is down to you and your imagination – be creative! Dark doesn’t have to be negative; think outside the box, these are just prompts – be as abstract with your interpretation as you like. My chosen work was an illustration I produced of the skylines I used to see when living in Dubai. It fit with the theme of the issue, as I included a daylight version, as well as a night time one with all the lights and colour variations.
