As a self-taught software engineering with over 18 years of experience, I am a passionate and hardworking problem solver predominantly in the web and mobile space.

I am a polyglot thinker meaning technical frameworks, languages and libraries aren’t an obstacle and have worked with Ruby and Ruby on Rails, JavaScript libraries such as React, PHP, .Net and have experience with Infrastructure, Devops and database technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, MySQL, MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
As a good communicator, who is approachable and friendly, I have mentored many developers sharing the experiences I have picked up during my career so far and hope to continue in this manner, offering a healthy and beneficial leadership experience to enable my teams to flourish.
Having worked at On the Beach for over 11 years, I was involved in bringing all engineering services in house away from a third-party agency, and have been a critical success factor to the growth of the business from being a relatively small online travel agent to the behemoth that is is today. Using my customer and product mindset, I have presented and developed innovative and commercially valuable ideas as well as coached and mentored hundreds of engineers giving me the perfect experience and platform to help companies to scale, grow, survive and thrive.
