About me
Strong creativity, initiative, organisational / communication experience, social media / website understanding derived from self-employed filmmaking, being on crews, projects and own label Captain Cowboy (captaincowboy.co.uk). Versatile positive member of any team. As an assistant director he's worked on commercials for Netflix and Wrigleys, music videos, feature documentary Postcards From The 48% and award-winning short films including for Channel 4. Paul is working towards a new film within the Unearth Art Collective which mixes UAE, UK and USA artists making work within the themes of nature and tech. He is also developing personal essay documentary Tanzania '68, about his Father's photographs and time in 1960s Africa. He strives for unique and innovative work in his films with emphasis on exploring form & aesthetics. The Artists Forum Festival of The Moving Image (New York), London Short Film Festival (ICA), BAFTA, LACMA, Cinetekton International Film & Architecture Festival in Mexico and San Diego Comic-Con are notable screenings and nominations. In addition to film, Paul had his debut solo mixed media art show First Exhibition at the Documentary Media Centre in Leicester 2022 & has self-published two photography books as part of his Captain Cowboy label and venture. Paul's films have been supported by UK Arts Council and Danish Arts Foundation - as well he's been an Experimental Award winner in Romania.

The film is an interpretation & visualisation of visions supposedly bestowed by God upon the German mystic & nun which lead her to invent natural sciences, ​languages, paintings, writings & music.
