About me

Paula Ruiz Bressel (12.12.1992, Madrid, Spain). After finishing her studies in Editorial Illustration (2011) and a course in Fine Art at Complutense University in Spain (2012), she moved to Brisbane, Australia, during a seven month period where she learnt English and collaborated with Butterfly Babies charity and `C´ Gallery. In 2013 she moves to London to study Fashion Illustration at The London College of Fashion (University of the Arts of London). While studying her first course (2014) she was commisioned for Books About Town project with National Literacy Trust charity. Her design, inspired from “Bridget Jones Diary”, raised £2.100 for the charity at the auction event. She has collaborated with Pigeons and Peacocks magazine for their last issue with an illustration for the article `Culture Vultures´. She participated as well in a collective exhibition about Resistance in Art organised by Student Union Arts. She won the community choice award of Brittany Smooch contest organised by Talenthouse. In summer she collaborated for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid with the national newspaper LaRazón making catwalk sketches. She currently has some of her illustrations exhibited for sale at Wogaboo restaurant in Madrid.
