- RanczoMr Jurek's past is not bright - jail sentence, poverty and a Laryngeal (throat) cancer which meant doctors had to remove his vocal cords. Even after the disease and losing his ability to speak he stays strong. During recovery he met his future wife and the mother of his seven kids - the eight is on the way. His modest life, his sacrifices and strong family values enabled him to give his kids a colourful childhood. From scraps, garbage and found materials from nearby factories he built a "RANCZO"(ranch). He always repeats - my life and work is for kids, not for me. “Ranczo” is a place where he lives and keeps his livestock - cats, dogs, goose, chicken, goats and a pony. Mr Jurek is happy - his kids are growing up and have a RANCZO all to themselves.
- SentecedThis project explores the notion of freedom while photographing an artistic collaboration between a group or artists and criminals in a Polish prison. To brighten up the days of the criminals a group of artists created a series of photographs of the surroundings of the jail - the 'outside world'. A few criminals volunteeres to put up the printed real life scale photographs on the walls of the jail courtyard matching them up with the real surroundings behind the walls. The project documents the process while pointing to the stark contrasts between the 'inside' and 'outside' worlds.
