As a recent graduate from SOAS in Global Creative and Cultural Industries, I’m am looking forward to furthering my career in the creative industries, particularly with organisations and institutions which value community engagement and delivering high quality cultural programmes. I have had a diverse range of experiences from curating exhibitions for U.S. Embassies abroad to working with non-profits and local initiatives such as the Migration Museum in London or KONTRA in Rotterdam. I am also an artist and designer and am open to commissions or freelance work.

- KONTRA #2In 2019, I was selected amongst several applicants to participate in KONTRA #2, the second installation of an exhibition run by KONTRA Rotterdam, a grassroots organisation seeking to offer a platform for subversive artists in the Netherlands. The project involved submitting a proposal for an artwork and carrying out the installation to be displayed for the exhibition.

Hired as a School’s Programme Coordinator for the Wings of Hope Achievement Awards (WOHAA) charity based in London. WOHAA is dedicated to offering opportunities to local secondary school students to engage in fundraising and community action. My responsibilities include running mentorship sessions for student groups, aiding in organizing and executing events, delivering assemblies at schools across London, provide support to senior management, and help develop weekly and monthly goals for WOHAA.

The AMS program provides students with an in depth knowledge of art history and anthropology and allows them to focus on a diverse range of contemporary arts topics. My BA Thesis looked at how a socially-engaged art project at the Kochi biennale provided a platform for political representation to Mumbai’s urban poor. I graduated with Honours and a minor in South Asian focused migration studies.
