About me
I'm currently a student who pursues some freelance opportunities when time-frames allow it - most notably my work on Valve's Steam Workshop and winning entry to Polycount & Valve's Counter-Strike 'skin' competition. Whilst primarily focusing on achieving a traditional university degree as of now I'm continuously active and interested in the fields of film and video games - looking to hopefully end up with a career in a concept art or a more illustrative 2D art type role. I've had a great experience working with organisations and clients like Valve and Polycount as well as my colleagues and friends that have been vital in my progression as an artist through critique and co-operation.

Ongoing freelance industry design work for various persons and companies - such as major US entertainment company Valve Corporation, for their headlining triple-A game series Dota and Counter-Strike - amassing over $40,000 US in revenue for one project alone (according to Valve’s publicly provided statistics) - creating illustrated user interfaces and UVs or illustrated in-engine textures. My most notable achievement is my winning contribution to Valve’s 'Counter Strike: Global Offensive Weapon Finish Contest’ under the alias DryDoctorEgg. I was responsible for creating and applying a texture to a weapon model. Using software packages Photoshop and 3D coat. https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2016/06/14583/ I have worked closely with Kevin 'Purge’ Godec, most notable for his work with Valve at their ‘Dota 2 International’ E-sports events, designing marketing graphics for his social media as well as game user interface graphics. Also providing graphics for ‘Cloud 9’ and ‘Team Empire’ E-sports organisations, some appearing within Valve’s ‘Dota 2’ title. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=264474453 I continue to contribute to Valve’s 'community workshop' which has provided an amazing opportunity to co-operate and inform, as well as a life changing source of income. https://steamcommunity.com/id/drydoctoregg/myworkshopfiles/ Such work resulted in sophisticated software experience in programs within the Adobe Creative Suite and 3D packages such as Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Autocad and Substance Packages. Practicing with the cutting edge of software packages has allowed me to create industry standard assets and designs.
