About me
Hi, I'm Petra. I'm a marketer by name and creative by nature. Born in New York, grown up in Yorkshire, studied in Lancaster and currently living in London, you could say I've had quite a well-rounded upbringing. With prior experience in the food and retail sector, I also developed my knowledge of project and events management at University. I am now currently working for a not-for-profit social enterprise where I get to support the placing of young BAME talent into the creative industry. I enjoy the idea of coordinating and building content for causes that I believe in and being on the ground creating and organising real live events and projects for creative companies that can have a profound effect on society. I thrive on being a part of the digital space and providing communications and administrative support; my skills are best used to support a network of creativity. Music, film and theatre are my life passions, and so I will always try and maintain these creative aspects in anything that I do. If you share a common love for these arts, and believe my digital knowledge and marketing expertise are skills that would complement your business, I welcome you to get in touch.
Projects
  • Ethnic Diversity Committee
Ethnic Diversity CommitteeIn my Postgraduate Year I was elected Photographer of Events for the Lancaster University Ethnic Diversity Committee and got to record and document all the events ranging from student debates to society socials. This was a rewarding experience that allowed me to highlight and promote debates that would cover key topics such as diversity in our current educational curriculum but also in the Arts; in one of our sessions we invited several students from the Institute of Performing Arts to discuss their perspective on how they think increased participation from all backgrounds and cultures would impact the industry as a whole. Encouraging this kind of discussion is something I really believe to be important.
