About me
I’m a Digital Marketer and I’ve been doing this since I was 16 years old. I started as a graphics and web designer and taught myself SEO. I then ventured into AdWords and became an SEM freelancer while I was in university. To date, I’m a specialist in SEO, SEM, SMM (Social Media Marketing) and affiliate marketing as well as lead generation and conversion rate optimisation. In 2016, I took the biggest risk of my personal and professional life. I left my office job and became a digital nomad. I lived in different places and ticked off challenges in my bucketlist while working as a freelancer. During this time, I’ve grown a lot in both professional and personal aspects. I was challenged to the extremities of my skillset while working with different brands. I’ve also gained a lot of new skills and experience with different digital marketing tools and expanded my network. My soft skills was also improved enormously. The level of responsibility to ensure my work is above standard and meet the deadlines increased exponentially. I also became better at managing my time for the different projects and working with different types of people from all over the globe. I also found a new meaning to working independently and finding my own way to solve problems. I also became more confident and braver to take risks. This was reflected on how daring my ideas became and how I became a trendsetter in the market. Before this, I’ve worked as a Digital Advertising Analyst with MainAd. They’re an advertising agency that specialise in affiliate marketing, display advertising and retargeting. During my time with them, I worked with different brands such as Hotels.com, Expedia, Trivago, Wowcher, Spartoo, Swarovski, Gearbest, Western Union, Groupon, AliExpress, DHGate etc. I’ve also improved my analytical skills as well as my knowledge with MS Excel after taking an advanced course. I handled daily budgets ranging from €10 to €1000 per campaign and different KPI targets. I was also tasked to spearhead the development of a Power BI-based database platform that will be used by the board, account managers, analysts and clients. I love to learn new things and expand my knowledge. I regularly enrol myself in online courses in Coursera, Udemy and Udacity. I enjoy partaking in discussions online particularly in Twitter, Medium and Quora. I also take pleasure in applying my knowledge and helping improve and create more efficient processes and strategies.
