Hi there, my name's Philly and I sell ideas through funny and moving storytelling.
I have over 6 years of experience working in communications, in-house and at top agencies including: Droga 5, Publicis, Gravity Road and Brave. I’ve worked on major brands including Apple, Amazon, Barclays, Tokyo Olympics and Coca Cola. Before this, I worked in journalism and filmmaking, writing and producing for Vice, BBC, Channel 4 and Al Jazeera. I also snuck in some significant experience as a Content Marketing Manager and have a distinction in strategy from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
My work has been featured in Campaign Magazine, Adweek, Muse by Clio Awards, David Reviews, AdAge, BBC and shown at The Barbican. In 2019 I was a finalist in the Cannes Lions 2019 cover competition.
If I’m not working, you’ll find me reading Kurt Vonnegut, mentoring students or finishing my first book: "Passive aggressive notes to flatmates."

I’m very much one for a side-project and have a keen interest in science and technology. I was a VIP auditionee on Britain’s Got Talent 2019 as the Rapping Dinosaur of Kent – teaching about mass extinction through song.
Projects
- Barclaycard Business: We take business seriouslyWhilst I wasn’t involved in The Crystal Barn spot, it does set the tone for the next in the “We take business seriously” series. I was part of the creative team that came up with the idea and wrote copy and helped with the art direction of the campaign. Coming 2021
- Barclays x AppleBarclays and Apple wanted to drive awareness of the iPhone XI’s new monthly payment plan. It’s the best value way to buy the new phone, letting customers save up to £270 compared to buying it through a network. So I dramatised all the wonderful things you could possibly do with the savings.
- Dove x GettyAdAge ran a competition for their Cannes Lion 2019 issue cover in partnership with Dove and Getty’s “Show Us” initiative. The ‘Show Us’ collection is a range of new stock photos that feature a diverse range of women living their everyday lives – something rarely shown in the media. AdAge wanted a cover that would act as a rally cry for marketers – showing if they portrayed women in representative ways they could change the world. Out of over 700 entries, our cover was selected as one of 10
