Site Engineer on many London-based civil engineering projects such as Tideway and Lower Thames Crossing. As a site engineer, responsibilities stretch further than the day-to-day running of a construction project. This includes management of operations staff; production of risk assessments & method statements and other technical documents, coordinating with suppliers and other contractors on site, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed, producing project valuations and applications for payment, mitigating environmental impacts, and upholding collaborative relations with the client. This role relies on both quick and forward thinking, keeping in mind the issues at hand and preparing for the future in an efficient, sustainable and cost-effective way.

A vocationally focused MSc degree, that provided the skills in a wide number of environmental and construction fields. The course focused on, but was not limited to, Geotechnical Engineering; Environmental Consultancy, Assessment, and Regulation; Water Management; Landfill Design, and site investigation. My thesis was a report on the geothermal potential of abandoned mines in South Wales, using 3D modelling techniques and GIS to understand the spatial and geographical constraints of a specific site, producing recommendations for development based on the findings.
