I am an ambitious and self motivated individual, actively looking to fulfill a career within the creative industry. My interior design degree and journalism postgraduate course have enabled me to obtain a varied portfolio of skills. I currently write two blogs, have a broad social network and believe I am an organised, hardworking and positive person. I enjoy taking ownership of a project and have a hunger to learn, grow and progress.
As the lead visual merchandiser for Marks & Spencer’s largest homeware store, I was responsible for selecting products for schemes in relation to current trends and promotions in order to design, dress and install displays. Alongside monitoring the shop floor, I aimed to maximise the appeal of stock and enhance the store’s aesthetic.
As a customer sales representative, my key duties were to ensure excellent customer service through outgoing and incoming phonecalls, liasing with clients and financial advisors as well as general administration. While working under great pressure within a vibrant and fast-paced environment with new targets to meet each day, my team and I constantly pushed to excell.
During the two years I worked at River Island, I managed the delivery of new stock, prepared it to be sold and operated on the shop floor itself. I have learnt to work well independently or as part of a team, and how to provide a helpful and efficient service to customers, offering styling advice for both men and women.
