About me
I am History Graduate currently working within sales & marketing for a Young’s Pub in the City. From corporate events and dinners, large scale bookings, tasting and liaising with large drinks brands, data capture, social media, head office marketing pushes, monetary targets, personal interaction with customers, I am involved in all aspects of the business. I also have integrated an administrative role within this as a helping hand for my manager. I have very much enjoyed my role and now I am looking to bring the skills I have learnt and expand upon them in a new environment. I have a very analytical mind, and can read and source through vast amounts of material, remembering it in great detail. I am able to see something, and look not just at what is on the page in front of me, but at the many possible different meanings and interpretations, the concepts that can be formed from that, and the different ways I can use this for my benefit in the task I am pursuing. When looking at any kind of source relevant to the job at hand, I understand the concept that this piece of information, whatever it is, has to be of use in more than what it initially conveys. I know how to take a concept, a fact, or an idea, and expand upon it, creating something interesting and useful from the information initially given. I have used these skills in all my previous work environments, adapting it recently to sales & how best to promote a product to a group or any individual. I have a very strong work ethic, and great timekeeping, as I always strive to finish task in good time before any kind of 'due date.' This means that if anything goes wrong, any mistake is noticed, or something unpredictable happens, there is time to rectify in a calm and efficient manner. I am dedicated to any task given to me, and quick to learn and understand. I use the skills I have gained from my degree in any working situation, for in any working environment it is vital to be efficient and organised, with keen understanding of the task set. I would use every inch of knowledge that I have gained through my past experiences, and would walk in with an arms open approach to learn and expand on such. Organisation is vital within any professional environment. I have experience of juggling many different tasks, and can prioritise them without sacrificing one to the other. Within any working environment, you always work within, or under a team; therefore it is imperative that each individual organises their time accordingly. I am a highly dedicated individual who understands that time is of the essence in any job, and that mismanagement of such can have a residual effect to those around me. I have strong communication and presentation skills, experience of team work in a high pressure environments and a keen customer focused approach. Since the age of 18 I have been proactive in the working world. My working history largely consists of customer-service jobs. Working in these environments takes a lot of patience, commitment, dedication and a good deal of common sense. I have learnt a huge amount from each positon, taking with me valuable skills and lessons. Customer care and working in team environments are essential in the majority of professional environments, and I have taken great care to perfect skills such as these in any working space, and understand how important it is to take advice and learn from those around you. I take a positive outlet in any job I pursue, giving my all, as I like to feel I have accomplished something in each day. I am a happy, organised and soulful person, who likes to bring creativity to any job I pursue.
