About me
Phoebe Lockyer is a mixed media textiles designer specialising in hand embroidery, embellishment, and digital print. While Phoebe mainly focuses on hand embroidery and digital print, she also uses couching, quilting, trapunto, sonic welding, and CAD embroidery. Mixing traditional craft with modern techniques and styles and creating a variation of textures and surfaces that can be applied to many markets. An adaptable designer, her work has been applied to outcomes in both fashion and interior markets. The variety of professional design experiences Phoebe has, includes Hand and Lock live brief 2020, exhibiting at Premiere Vision 2020, freelancing with Mollie Regan Textiles, and working at MAXXAM Textiles since September 2020. She is also displaying work at the Festival of Quilts show held at The NEC in Birmingham from the 29th of July - 1st August 2021. With the chance of winning the 2021 Student Bursary.

  • 21st Century Wonderland
    21st Century Wonderland21st Century Wonderland is a textiles collection designed for menswear in an androgynous style using sustainable fabrics such as bamboo silk and recycled slub. It is a mixed media collection using techniques such as hand embroidery, couching, beading, CAD embroidery and digital print. This collection is based off of walks done during lockdown and the natural and manmade imagery seen along the way, science and technology and eclectic collage creating a 21st Century Wonderland.

    Between the 20'sBetween the 20's is a mixed media textiles collection designed for an interior context, using techniques such as beading, couching, hand embroidery and print. This collection is based off the themes of modern, 2020's science and technology and vintage 1920's art and architecture.
