Electrical engineer turned innovation designer, I just graduated from the Innovation Design Engineering (MA & MSc) at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London. Teaching assistant for 2nd year undergraduates in Design Engineering. Participated in teaching programming labs on embedded systems and mechatronics (Arduino, RaspberryPi, etc) and assessment of student assignments in these topics.
Industrial placement integrated to 3rd year of MEng degree. Imperial College spin-off offering off-grid renewable energy solutions to rural communities in developing countries. Indivdual project focused on battery technologies. Objective: reduce cost and increase performance of BBOXX’s flagship product, the BBOXX Home.The project involved research on alternative battery technologies, big data analysis to study product performance and operation, firmware development to make the product compatible with lithium batteries, and the implementation of battery tests to evaluate the success of the new design.
- MSc w/ distinction - Dissertation w/ distinction - Co-invention of re:flex, a patent-pending shape memory material whose shape can be reprogrammed with heat. - Development of Stroom, a new process using alternative techniques to produce highly recyclable circuit boards on all kinds of materials. - "Designers, let's do drag!", a dissertation inciting designers to take notes from drag queens in order to tackle gender stereotypes in products.
