Peter Babbage aka Pierre is a movement practitioner trained in theatre and contemporary dance. their work explores issues around sexuality, mental health and bending binaries around gender and cultural identity. their work spans music videos, short films, live performance within galleries, theatre and clubs.
in 2017 they formed Pierre & Baby with Luke Bafico. their work together has been performed at The V&A, Wellcome Collection, The Place, The Yard, Grow Tottenham, The Chateau and the RVT and have been featured in Hunger Magazine, Paper, Chrom-Art and Run-Riot.
in 2019 Pierre created 'mind ur head' with fraserfab, a queer dance platform & party for dance artists that identify outside of the binary. a night previously hosted at The Chateau which has now become an online platform.In 2017 they co-founded queer dance collective Pierre & Baby, with Luke Bafico, who performed at The Place for Resolution and Resolution Replay, for the Friday Late event at the V&A and were finalists for Emerge Performance Prize 2018. They developed new work through residencies at The Place and Wellcome Collection Reading Room.
