About me
I’m a recent MA History of Design graduate at RCA/V&A. My main research interests are in housing architecture in the UK and post-Soviet states. I’m truly passionate about the contemporary history of the Soviet Union and it’s subsequent dissolution. I believe on the power of education and knowledge, thus, in all my projects I aim to bring light to the unknown subjects that can help us understand and come to better solutions to the contemporary issues. The expansive academic background provided me with strong research skills, ability to work independently on complex and expansive projects, and meticulous detailed approach to a vast array of different tasks.

Book Lenta started as a passion project between me and my friend. We were always passionate about literature and decided to share our fascination and knowledge with others. Book Lenta is a digital library that shares non-copyrighted literary works directly to the Instagram, and thus, our subscribers can enjoy reading without leaving their favourite social media. Our responsibilities are currently split in half, and I am in charge of development and publishing of our regular content. Alongside that, I undertook the promotional duties as I analyse the potential audiences and attract them through Facebook Ads Manager and advertisement campaigns with bloggers. Over the past year of working on Book Lenta we have managed to organically grow our audience to 3,000+ subscribers with minimal investment. Additionaly to the Instagram content we've started paid book club events where we get a chance to discuss other books with our subscribers. Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/book.lenta/

Dissertation: Death of the Soviet Dream: the Evolution of Troparevo-Nikulino from the 1980s to the 1990s. This MA dissertation is a micro-historical exploration of transformations in the lived environment of a Soviet district, Troparevo-Nikulino in Moscow. The study is placed within two decades from the 1980s to the 1990s when Soviet Russia was coming out of Zastoi and into Perestroika and subsequently moved into the ‘wild 1990s’. The thesis will aim to understand the main reasoning behind the alterations people performed to the front doors and balconies through the conversations with the residents of this district. Alongside exploring why people altered their homes in these ways, it will attempt to place these common modifications into the broader historical context, trying to understand whether these design changes were a continuation of existing traditions or if the transformations were caused by the shifts in the more extensive political landscape.
