I am a photographer, collage and video artist, currently in my final year studying BA(Hons) Photography at Norwich University of the Arts. I base my time between Norwich, Cambridge and London. My personal work is a mixed media approach consisting of analogue photography and video processes, digitally edited in an abstract and artistic style. I have always been inspired by themes of youth culture and its history, particularly how music genres have influenced fashion movements and subcultures, and so the majority of my work plays on themes of nostalgia and memory. My main creative focus is making music videos and album artwork, something I am always open to working and collaborating on.Locked Pro Plan feature
I have worked part time at an independent gelato shop in Cambridge for the past two years, I have had many responsibilities which have given me transferable skills for the future, such as sales and marketing, communicating and dealing with the public and other independent businesses, managing and attending events and opening and closing the shop independently.
Collaboration of my video art to act as visuals alongside George Gray’s Lo-fi and dance beats. Intricate and heavily edited to the beat using MiniDV footage and cut out film scans, later used for music competition entry (FL Studio 20.7 Visualiser Contest).
Commissioned to photograph, film and produce an edited video for two artists (performance art on paintings), as part of a collaboration. Set up lighting and photo equipment, provided artists with all footage, imagery and edits. This video was later projected in a group exhibition.
Operating second camera and assisting ‘The Bishop of Brixton’ by Tom Smith. Traveling with equipment to Brixton multiple times to film at the Brixton Recreation centre, helping with camera and lighting set up and pack down, providing secondary camera footage, both stills and moving image, for interviews and basketball games.
First assistant for ‘ANGELFISH’ by Lauren Purnell. Working multiple projectors, setting up lighting, gels, assisting lens changes, focus pulling, using the monitor, working the crane and packing down the shoot in the film studio.
Assisting at a documentary film production agency, transcribing recordings for documentaries.
Throughout the course of my degree I have assisted many individual photo shoots, helping dress the set, prepare clothing, lighting set up and pack down.
General assistant and working with the design team on their summer production lines.
Writing press releases with the production team and helping with graphics on the design team.
Using my art and graphics skills, I assisted the Marketing Manager in producing emailers, mailers and printed marketing materials for use at B2B events such as exhibitions and open days that the firm organises. I also input data into the firm’s database and created mail-merged documents to send out to clients.
Assisting in all departments in this design agency I gained experience creating logos, presentations and leaflets as well as working with company branding, PR and website design.
