This role entailed managing the day to day running of the studio helping to ensure projects were delivered on time and to a high standard. This involved: * Creating sample boards and presentations for bids and client meetings. * Complete website design and brand management through the use of Indesign and Photoshop and basic Sketch Up. * Whist overseeing the general smooth running of the creative studio I also acted as the bridge of communication between the wider creative industry and the design team. This involved the marketing and managing of the company through social media such as Twitter, Pinterest and daily blog and news entries. * Proactivity organising CPD lunches and events with new brand representatives. * Constantly updating the product library through research and sourcing. Whilst assisting with the daily tasks of running a busy creative design studio my role included the following tasks: * Using Excel on a day to day basis to create invoices and quotations and compiled a database of library data and updated it as necessary. * Updated the team with new materials and products on a continuous basis. * Organised travel itineraries including the booking of flights and accommodation. * Organised the company's filing systems whilst running the reception and answering the studio phone. * Managed all logistics concerned with all deliveries and assisted with sample boards for project bids. * Prompt timesheet expenses collection.
Working in a busy photography and design studio my job as a junior stylist consisted of the following tasks: * Creating 'scenes' for photo shoots through the use of props and scenery. * Assisting on shoots which were fast pace and required great communication skills working with both adults and children of all ages. * Styling according to brand restrictions and adhering to clients wishes within tight deadlines.
I worked as part of a design agency for London Design Festival, organizing and setting up the display stand, learning about the products and selling and promoting furniture at the shows.
I was part of the design and décor team, creating art installations and design ideas for Parklife festival.
Working on the information points and ticket desks during the private views at the COLLECT craft fair, I helped visitors with any enquiries about the event and work on display. I learnt valuable skills working close by to the exhibitors and assisting them with their work.
