About me
Pri Goncalves is a London-based curator and producer who specializes in creating engaging experiences that bring viewers and artists together through participatory activities and performances. She is dedicated to providing emerging artists with a strong platform to showcase their work and to facilitating connections and collaborations through events and exhibitions under her own label ‘The Art Salon’.
Having been raised in a small town in Brazil, Pri had limited exposure to the arts during her formative years. Nevertheless, this obstacle did not stop her from developing a profound appreciation for the transformative influence of art and music. Upon completing her education at the State University of Londrina in Brazil, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Teaching and Literature, Pri dedicated four years to her profession as an educator. However, driven by her passion, she made the decision to relocate to London with the purpose of disseminating Latin American art, music, and culture to the United Kingdom and beyond.
With the goal of promoting emerging artists and engaging audiences with the arts, Pri has dedicated herself to tailoring and solidifying her curatorial practice through ongoing studies and experience. She has curated and hosted 10 multidisciplinary events in the UK, along with numerous art fairs and exhibitions featuring artists from around the globe. Currently, Pri is focusing on supporting working class artists, immigrants, women, and the LGBTQIA+ communities, all of which she personally identifies with.
When it comes to production, Pri has been utilizing her expertise and skill set to pursue her passion for filmmaking. She has actively engaged in producing and working as a production assistant in numerous music videos, short films, and photography shoots. Her objective is to enhance her proficiency in this domain by undertaking creative projects. Pri has been a valuable collaborator of 84 Films Ltd., as well as other emerging filmmakers in the United Kingdom.
