At Bi Pride UK, UNICORN magazine, I have been a volunteer article writer, contributing to their fourth magazine issue. I have also been a social media coordinator, responsible for post copy and the input in the concept of creative ideas.
While working at Levile TV, I was a blog writer. I wrote articles on movies, TV and social issues, posting on the company blog site at least twice a week. I had the freedom and choice to choose the subject to write about.
At My Runway Group I was the Social Media Coordinator for the company's Facebook page. I was responsible for the post copy, scheduling time, and I had creative input in the topic of the posts.
I graduated from the Waste Academy as a copywriter intern – an internship scheme ran by Waste Creative, a digital advertising agency. Within the first half, I worked within an intern team made up of a project manager, strategist, developer, designer and an art director. Together, we built Fifty Large, a new marketing agency specifically for Indie game developers and it has now successfully become a sister agency to Waste. As the copywriter intern, I worked heavily on the branding, website copy as well as the subsequent social posts. Within the second half, I was given the opportunity to work on live briefs for Supercell, Nintendo and Ubisoft. Alongside client work, I implemented two internal projects to inspire the team – #Inktober and a Diwali celebration. The Waste Academy allowed me to flex my creativity and what it truly means to collaborate creatively across several departments.
After building a good rapport with SAA-uk after volunteering with them for many months, they hired me back as a freelancer to design the copy for their new website, and for their new Autumn Winter 2019 Brochure.
My core responsibilities included maintaining social media platforms. I created and maintain the SAA-uk Knowledge Centre, a hub for South Asian music, dance and culture terminology on their Pinterest site. I have contributed to writing newsletters, brochures and press releases for concerts and artists. I have worked backstage at concerts with photography and setting up.
