About me
I’m a graduate textile design student from Norwich university of the arts. I focused my time and specialised in screen printing, however I am also skilled in Adobe software as I did digital printing aswell.
Talking to people comes naturally to me I can communicate well and I’m always taking notes mentally and physically when needed to, being sociable is a huge part of the creative industry as that the way that connections are made and networking happens.
Whilst at university and when I finished my degree I was working for a company called Norfolk natural living, and they gave me the opportunity to do the buying for the shops, so I gained experience in managing money, in the markets and I gained communication skills. During university I had to do a work placement and I chose to work with an artist that specialised in tromploi and has done work for Alexandra palace and through this I had to take instructions and use my initiative in situations when she was busy. I have worked in a textile showroom with timorous beasties , showing clients the different wall papers and fabrics, giving people advice, taking payments doing invoices and pro-formas
I am a hugely organised and like to run a smooth ship, whilst at uni I had to prioritise certain tasks over other and learn to manage my time, so I have learnt a lot of skills over my time of being at university and in the jobs I have been in after and during university.

During the three year course I understood how important it is to manage time, space and how to make a healthy work ethic, towards the end of my degree we were hit by the pandemic and had to work from home this came with its difficulties especially after doing such a hands on degree, so I had to learn quickly how to work from home and make the most out of difficult situations, this is where I managed to improve on my photoshop skills as I had to creative a portfolio and a page to show my degree work online with having no professional equipment and doing everything from my university bedroom.
