Purdi is a designer, creative lead and illustrator with more than 10 years collective experience in print and digital design. Five years ago she added to her love of print with pixels and hasn't looked back. With a keen eye for composition, form and colour, Purdi can be creative with sass or simplicity. A true creative at heart, she has the imagination and skills to generate ideas and nurture them from thought into reality. Purdi has a plethora of skills, but is by no means a 'jack of all trades, master of none'. During her career she has made it a priority to expose herself to as many studio environments and sectors and refuses to pigeon hole herself to any one type of role. This has gained her valuable experience, not just in her skill set, but in her knowledge of people and business. Never one to be overwhelmed by complicated briefs, tight deadlines or difficult clients, Purdi remains cool, calm and collected at all times. With the advantage of knowing the creative industry inside and out (and networking like a boss), she has expertly grown creative teams on several occasions that consist of amazingly talented individuals. Her unique approach to mentoring, training and project management sees her never hesitating to constantly and rigorously provide expert creative direction and support.Locked Pro Plan feature
For almost 5 years I have worked in London and Liverpool as the creative lead for the design department at Nova. I have recruited exceptionally talented individuals and together we work across design, digital, illustration and motion helping to build brands for startups, corporates and small business. I have encouraged and worked with the team to help bring our clients digital products to life through user experience, user interaction, design and marketing.
As senior designer at Creative Vein I was responsible for establishing and maintaining the visual style for all branding, print and marketing projects. Working directly with the creative director, account managers, suppliers and clients I ensured that the clients needs were met and the creative vision adhered to. It was always my goal to deliver stand out designs that communicated exactly what was needed and in accordance with agreed timelines, budget and brief.
The 3 years I spent at Monash, Caulfield were the most enriching and rewarding. I not only learnt to develop and grow my skills as a designer and illustrator, but I was privileged enough to study under some of Australia's most successful creatives such as Dr Gene Bawden and Regina Newey. They and my fellow class mates encouraged me to be who I wanted to be and express that through my work and also guided me on how to approach the creative industry professionally.
