About me

I started in the industry as a Theatre Producer and have been gradually making my way into TV and Film. In early September I wrapped a feature film where I worked on set as the 1st Assistant Director and more generally as the Production Coordinator. Before that I worked freelance as a Producer and 1st Assistant Director on two projects for another company. Due to the range of entertainment genres I have worked in, I have a current and wide ranging knowledge of the industry requirements and trends. The mixture of Theatre and Film has given me relevant experience to this position; creating and looking after the schedule, booking spaces, running rehearsals, drawing up contracts for the actors, hiring the technical staff and taking organisational control over the whole production. I'm used to running multiple tasks at once and ensuring we run to a strict deadline. I have also worked as an Events Manager, which gives me a strong events and admin background too. I know how to organise, budget and execute important events. I was controlling multiple calendars at once, and being responsible for any clashes in public and private cruises, working at all times with considerations towards skipper availability and catering. I also took care of all the invoicing for the company, taking invoices from clients and creating and tracking invoices using Sage One.

  Mind Mental Health CharityI worked on a pitch for Small Fry Productions for a filming project for Mind Mental Health Charity. We were awared the project and adapted a theatre script they had for the screen. This film was to raise suicide awareness and is to be distributed nationally around schools.
• New YouPattern Maker Films is an independent production company specializing in narrative short and feature films. New You is their first feature film. I joined the project as the 1st Assistant Director.

I am currently working with Pattern Maker Films, a growing multicultural film production company. Since joining as the 1st AD I have also taken some of the responsibilities of the Producer in pre and post production. Responsibilities include: • Hiring key members of the team, overseeing the hiring of locations, props and equipment. • Creating a thorough breakdown of the script into a shot by shot storyboard. • Working alongside the Director I created the filming schedule, paying attention to the budget and cast availability. • Using Macs and Microsoft programmes to keep track of budgets and co-ordinate all production activity. • Managing a team of 3 assistants and runners, delegating roles where appropriate. • Managing the schedules of the director, D.O.P and the cast throughout. • Control of where resources are allocated in order to maximise efficiency and to ensure we stay within budget. • Ensuring that all key members of staff have their relevant call sheets.
