Growing up in deepest, darkest Yorkshire I began life as a die hard drama kid set for the stage, this ambition was quickly refocused once I began to attend gigs and concerts as a teenager and found I was more interested in how the show was put together, rather than being the star of it.
Whilst studying at Leeds Metropolitan University (1st Class Honors Degree, the UK Center for Event Management) I was keen to supplement my studies with relevant practical knowledge and hands on experience. So my event career began working as part of security teams for touring arena shows and music festivals, this is where my interest in crowd management and large scale event operations first piqued. Two years as a Project Manager at a Leeds based corporate agency followed, which allowed me to cut my teeth with Blue-chip clients and understand the importance of the relationship between creative and production, as well as gain experience of account management and strategic communications.
In the five years since I made the decision to work for myself, and fueled by emergency peanut butter and the occasional Merlot, I have delivered a broad spectrum of projects across the UK, Europe, UAE and USA working with some of the most talented in the business, many of which I am proud to call friends.
Looking forwards, I am aiming to continue to work internationally, delivering to an exceptional standard - arms always wide open for a new challenge, and hopefully some fun along the way.
