Having developed my marketing skills working for the UK’s most prestigious academic publishers, I’ve spent three years specialising as an audience-focussed email marketer for arts and education organisations. I can competently lead strategy and campaign management, and craft actionable, effective copy that delivers against KPIs. I’ve succeeded in engaging audiences, raising metrics, and securing new users and customers for charity Into Film and edtech startup Up Learn.
I am also an award-winning creative writer, and have extensive experience of writing and editing cultural journalism for print and online publications. My film reviews have been cited on posters and in national publicity campaigns.
I’m seeking creatively fulfilling freelance projects that utilise and develop my existing marketing and writing skillset, while rewarding my wide-ranging cultural interests and social justice passions.

As the third member of this developing team, I advanced many aspects of the company’s email marketing and automated messaging, and implemented previously overlooked best practice from scratch. In addition to managing B2B and B2C email campaigns, I upgraded subscription and preference management, implemented systematic reporting and benchmarking, and broke company records for lead generation (contributing to year-on-year growth of over 100%).
